| Refuge Shootout 2007 |
| Competition Rules |
| All images must be taken on a National Wildlife Refuge/Preserve. Subject matter will be wildlife, birds. Plants, scenics, or people engaged in some activity on the refuge/preserve. |
| There will be three (3) divisions: |
| Division 1. Slides (35mm). |
| Division 2. Color Prints. |
| Division 3. Monochrome/Black and White Prints. |
| Monochrome prints are allowed to have one color (for example, all black and white with one color, say for example pink, applied to portions of the print). |
| In Division 1 and 2, prints produced digitally will be allowed provided they have not been manipulated (nothing has been added nor eliminated from the original image). Color adjustment to the entire print and not a segment of the print will be allowed. Anything that can be done in a conventional darkroom is allowed. |
| Each entrant will be allowed a maximum of three (3) entries in each division. (Three slides, three color prints, and three monochrome prints.) |
| There must be at least 2 makers and 3 images for a competition in each division. |
| Rules for Slides: |
| 1) Must be titled and include the name of the maker and Refuge affiliation. |
| 2) Must be thumb spotted in the lower left corner of the mount as it is held when viewed by the eye. |
| Rules for Prints: |
| 1) Prints must be a minimum of 8x10 and a maximum of 16x20. |
| 2) All prints must be mounted on a proper mounting board or foamcore board.Matting is allowed but not required. Minimum mount size is 8x10 and maximum is 16x20. No framed prints are allowed. |
| 3) Prints must contain title, maker?s name, and Refuge affiliation on the back with an arrow indicating the ?TOP? of the print. No identifying marks are allowed on the front. |
| Entry forms must be used and are available on the club?s website (www.stayfocusedphotoclub.org). |
| Entries may be hand delivered to the Refuge Volunteer Office on Lily Lake Rd; mark ?Attention Sandy Perchetti?. |
